Dell Mini 5

The Dell Mini 5 is a 5″ Android MID for AT&T.  The device is really nice and will be used a lot for media and web browsing.

Obviously Songbird on this device would need to be changed up greatly for it’s landscape mode this is very large.

I think the UI should be able to adjust by itself through the UI to make it adapt to the larger screen size.

Allowing Songbird to be flexible may make it more bloated by a tiny amount, but it’ll be more universal across the fragmented Android scape.

Compaq Airlife 100 smartbook runs Android

Recently I saw this new Smartbook on Engadget.  Its really nice except the fact that it is Compaq.  But then I realized.  There is a whole market for Android Tablets and Smartbooks.  These large screen devices are running android and can run Android’s apps.

When Songbird Mobile is made, how would it adapt to this screen size?  Would there have to be a new app?  If we make a built in ability to change to the screen size of a laptop or large tablet would the app’s performance drop or the size of the app increase due to compatibility with these large screens?

I’ve created this website to track and manage the Songbird Mobile project that I am starting.
